Should your favorite cereals be turned into their own flavor of milk? Would that be any good? Or will it just taste weird and grainy? Well, Bon Appetit decided to find out. Turning 25 of their favourite breakfast staples into cereal milk and enlisting the help of a pastry chef, a wine sommelier and a regular guy to do a blind taste test.
Cereals include: Frosted Flakes, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cheerios, Honey Bunches of Oats, Apple Jacks, Life, Cookie Crisp, Special K, Fruity Pebbles, Kix, Cocoa Puffs, Froot Loops, Honey Comb, Pop Tarts, Lucky Charms, Rice Krispies, Cap’n Crunch, Corn Flakes, Grape Nuts, Trix, Honey Smacks, Reeses Puffs, Nutri-Grain Bar, Frosted Mini Wheats, and Kashi Go Lean Crunch.
Now been British, I haven’t the foggiest clue what some of these cereals are, despite spending a lot of time in the US and dating an American for 5 years… Grape Nuts anyone? No, I’ve got no clue either.
